I picked up my first DSLR (Digital Single Lens Reflex) camera late last week. I was serious about shooting back in the film days and could never afford to move beyond a point-and-shoot digital camera. My need for decent photos of my carvings for promotion and education has pushed me into picking up a serious camera.
Through Adorama Camera in New York I picked up a very fine 6 year old Canon Rebel XT. I’m just beginning to apply what I know about film photography to digital photography. Below are a few shots. These were all shot in “automatic mode”. This morning I’ve just begun to grasp what I need to do with aperture settings.
