I never went about making a steampunk cardinal. I followed the same rules that I have on every bird — Use only the tools and materials that were available to my grandfather in the 1930s. Now that it is complete I certainly can see why it’s been labelled so.
Where is the Lafayette Trace Park where you saw the mergansers? I’d love to get a look closer than a quarter mile.
