In January I began caving 50 Little Birds for Blue Stone Folk School to rise money fo much needed technology for the Folk School.
This week I completed the fiftieth bird in the series, a wild turkey.
At this point the project has raised over $1500 and has led to the donation of a much needed computer.
The priorities of the Folk School have shifted. Thought we are in need of technology (recorders and video recorders) with the acquisition of our new space the money is being spent on materials.
There are still about 25 birds available for sale. If you are interested in supporting the Folk School by purchasing a bird please contact me at 317 363 5352 or at firstname.lastname@example.org.
I will continue to carve, number and label birds as “50 Little Birds for Blue Stone Folk School”. Ten percent of the sale of birds with a series number of 51 and above will continue to go to the school.
Thanks to all that have supported this effort. It’s been very rewarding for me.
No. 51, a blue jay, is finished, too.
