Blue Stone Folk School
Blue Stone Folk School presents… Cara Jean Wahlers and Tom Shinness – 7:301059 Conner Street
Blue Stone Folk School has hosted many events at Noble Tea and Coffee, but it’s a real treat to check them out in their native habitat… the basement of the big green Victorian on Conner Street.
The space is really cool with its exposed brick and cool floors. Plus, it’s fun to poke around in there and see what the good folks at the folk school are up to. You know… they offer letterpress classes, ukelele building, songwriting workshops and a whole lot of other things. Plus, I’m looking forward to their summer porch jam!
Thursday, May 20th, please join us for Cara Jean Wahlers and multi-instrumentalist Tom Shinness, who’s making a trip up from Nashville, TN.
You can find out more about Tom here: http://tomshinness.com/
You can hear a sample of his music here: http://www.harpguitarmusic.com/listings/listing_ts_transharp.htm
Please do try to make it out for this one. Tom plays a rare 1913 Gibson harpguitar that has 16 strings, in addition to a host of other instruments… zither, cello, whatever he can find!
