This spring and summer I took a five month reprieve from 50 Little Birds to work on my Victorian House. I’ve been working on this house for nearly thirty years–it’s a labor of love and a money pit. I really missed keeping up with this blog and keeping up with my carving, but it had to happen. I expect it will happen again over the next few summers as I work around the perimeter of the house.
If you look very carefully you can spot the little bird I worked into the project.
Work included replacement or restoration of nearly every stick of siding, a lilt of sanding and scraping, rebuilding of the missing verge board, complete rebuilding of the windows and some jacking and sill work in the crawl space. As you can see it was worth the effort.
